I support the patient and family emotionally, spiritually and practically, and I follow your plan of care. I don’t give medication, medical advice or nursing care, and I always direct medical questions back to your team.
For Spanish-speaking patients and families, I can sit with them in their own language, help them understand what your team has explained, and make sure their wishes are heard.
